From a mum who rediscovered her spark and wants to help others find theirs
A country girl who grew up in a small town near the Grampians. I am the youngest of 5. My older brother turned me into the younger brother he never had and thus I was the only girl in the local cricket team, Iβve played soccer, netball, gymnastics and even given girls footy a crack - anything that was available Iβve given it a go.
Iβve never been one to shy away from trying something new - youngest sibling confidence (delusion) is maybe a real thing.
Fast forward to my adult years - I met my now husband Daniel in 2010
We had our first daughter Olivia in 2014 and gave her a baby sister Sophie in 2016. Growing up I was always sporty, energetic, outspoken, confident, extroverted BUT after having children quite young, I completely lost my identity and my spark. I found myself sitting 20kgs heavier than pre-kids and feeling incredibly self-conscious.
Along the years I tried all the fad diets and shakes, I crushed my soul with HIIT sessions that I hated because I thought cardio was going to make me skinny. I was stuck in a vicious cycle until i found strength training.
In late 2016 I stopped trying to starve myself with diet shakes and learnt how to fuel my body and train to get stronger, faster, fitter and become the most confident version of myself. I realised that βstrongerβ was better than βsmallerβ.
In 2019 we welcomed our third daughter, Hannah, and I began my journey of study so I could help other mums find their spark again, like I had.
At The Bar Fitness Pty Ltd started as Heathcote Personal Training in May 2021. Since starting this business I have met, and been inspired by, so many locals in Heathcote who want to work on improving themselves. What an amazing position I have found myself in.
After reaching capacity quickly in our old location, we rebranded into At The Bar Fitness Pty Ltd and started working on expanding in Jan 2022.
I am thrilled to be continually expanding this community even further and meeting more amazing people in Heathcote. Our beautiful small town has embraced the gym and it is a privilege to provide an inclusive and supportive space for everyone.

βYouβre never too old. Starting again at 85, Iβm still feeling the benefits of coming back. Iβve seen an increase in my energy since being back for over a year.β
